The celebration highlights the growing recognition of Diwali in the United States and its importance among Indian and South Asian communities.

Meanwhile, the United States Postal Service (USPS) has also unveiled a new commemorative Forever stamp celebrating Diwali.

The colourful stamp features an intricate rangoli-inspired design and recognises the cultural and religious significance of the festival.

This marks the second time the USPS has issued a stamp commemorating Diwali, following the first release in 2016.
