Weather: Mainly dry weather across Sri Lanka today
A few showers are expected in the coastal areas of the Western and North-western provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts today, the Department of Meteorology said.
Mainly dry weather will prevail across the rest of the island, the Department said.
Fairly strong winds of 30–40 kmph can be expected at times in the Northern and North-central provinces and the Hambantota and Puttalam districts.
A few showers may also occur in the sea areas extending from Negombo to Matara via Colombo.
South-westerly winds of 30–40 kmph are expected over the seas, increasing to 50 kmph at times in the areas from Puttalam to Trincomalee via Mannar and Kankesanthurai, and from Hambantota to Pottuvil.
