Sri Lanka Police have arrested four suspects, including a man known as 'Andupalaane Bindu', in connection with the gruesome double murder that occurred early this (7) morning in Wadigala, Hungama.

The victims — Pasindu Heshan, also known by the alias Bo Pasindu, and a 28-year-old woman identified as his mistress — were found hacked to death inside a house where they had been temporarily residing. 

The house is reportedly owned by an individual currently serving time in prison.

According to police, five masked individuals forcibly entered the residence and attacked the couple with sharp weapons, resulting in fatal injuries. 

A 12-bore firearm and bladed weapons were recovered from the suspects’ possession.

Authorities revealed that Bo Pasindu was out on bail in connection with a narcotics-related case and had multiple criminal allegations against him. 

The woman was also 28 years old, and both were residents of Ranna and Tissamaharama.

Two police teams have launched investigations into the incident, which has shocked the local community. The motive behind the killings is still under investigation
