Inmate of Mahara prison dies of COVID-19
An inmate of Mahara Prison has died due to COVID-19, stated the Prisons Department today (23), bringing the total COVID-19 deaths in Sri Lanka to 88.
Commissioner of Prisons Chandana Ekanayake stated that a 82 year old man had died after admission to the Ragama hospital, while the post mortem revealed he was COVID-19 positive.
