Netanyahu pressuring Trump to launch nuclear strike on Iran : Tucker Carlson

US political commentator Tucker Carlson has claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is pressuring US President Donald Trump to launch a nuclear strike on Iran, with a decision on the possible attack expected by November 7.

In a statement posted on X, Carlson alleged that the Trump administration could be days away from considering a nuclear attack on Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence reportedly believes Tehran has resumed uranium enrichment activities.

Carlson claimed that the suspected nuclear facility is located beneath approximately 300 feet of solid granite, making it impossible for conventional American weapons to destroy the underground tunnels.

He alleged that Netanyahu has been pushing for a nuclear strike, quoting an unnamed informed observer as saying, “Bibi calls Trump about it every day.”

According to Carlson, Netanyahu is facing mounting domestic political pressure following recent election results in Israel and is seeking Trump’s intervention to secure sufficient parliamentary support to remain in power.

Carlson further alleged that US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM Commander Brad Cooper oppose a negotiated settlement with Iran and favour renewed military operations.

He also claimed that Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA Director John Ratcliffe support Netanyahu’s position, while former President Barack Obama has expressed opposition to a proposed Iran peace agreement being drafted in Doha.

Referring to regional opposition to further conflict, Carlson alleged that Netanyahu secretly visited Abu Dhabi on September 27 to seek support from the United Arab Emirates for an attack on Iran, but that Emirati officials rejected the proposal.

Carlson warned that further military escalation could severely affect Gulf economies, global energy supplies and fertiliser markets, which he said have already been disrupted by months of conflict.

He claimed that 11 oil supertankers were badly damaged in the Strait of Hormuz during October, warning that continued disruption could contribute to a global economic crisis.

Carlson also warned that a nuclear strike on Pickax Mountain could cause radioactive contamination across the Persian Gulf, potentially threatening water supplies for millions of people.

He argued that the use of nuclear weapons by the United States could establish a dangerous precedent and increase the risk of nuclear escalation involving Russia, Ukraine, India, Pakistan and North Korea.

Carlson further alleged that the Trump administration has revised US nuclear policy since February to make the first use of tactical nuclear weapons easier.

However, he claimed that Trump remains hesitant about authorising such an attack and is currently listening to Vice President JD Vance and special envoy Steve Witkoff, who favour pursuing a negotiated settlement with Iran.

Carlson said observers believe Trump could make a decision on the possible use of nuclear weapons by November 7.

He also claimed that Iranian officials are open to negotiations despite growing political tensions, suggesting that a diplomatic agreement remains possible.

Carlson urged the international community to speak out against the possibility of a nuclear strike, warning of potentially catastrophic global consequences.
