Five Sri Lankan players set for CPL 2026
Five Sri Lankan players are set to feature in the 2026 Caribbean Premier League (CPL), representing three franchises.
Kusal Perera will play for Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, while Dasun Shanaka and Wanindu Hasaranga have been named among the overseas players for St Kitts & Nevis Patriots.
Maheesh Theekshana and Charith Asalanka will represent defending champions St Lucia Kings.
Meanwhile, Sri Lankan-born cricketer Amshi de Silva has been named by Trinbago Knight Riders. However, De Silva is listed as a USA player for the tournament rather than as a Sri Lankan overseas player.
The CPL’s overseas player lists were announced ahead of the 2026 edition of the Caribbean franchise tournament.
