Petition seeking to re-examine COVID positive body, dismissed
The Court of Appeal today decided to dismiss a petition filed seeking an order to re-examine the body of a person who was diagnosed with COVID-19 infection following his death.
The verdict was handed down by a panel of judges comprising Justices Arjuna Obeysekera and Mayadunne Koraya.
The petition was filed by M.E.L. Mohammed Hakeem, who is a resident of Trincomalee
