Notice issued to fishing & naval communities
The Meteorological Department states that wind speeds in the sea areas up to Puttalam via Batticaloa, Hambantota and Galle could increase up to 70-80 km per hour.
This is due to the active cloud system prevailing in the western and southern seas off the island.
