Sri Lanka elect to field first against England in Rawalpindi
Sri Lanka have won the toss and elected to field first against England in the third match of the ODI tri-series at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Pakistan.
Sri Lanka have brought in left-arm spinner Dunith Wellalage in place of Sachindu Colombage, while England have made two changes to their playing XI, with Josh Tongue and Liam Dawson coming into the side. Sonny Baker and Adil Rashid have been left out.
Both teams are looking to secure their first victory in the tournament after suffering defeats against hosts Pakistan in their opening matches.
Sri Lanka lost their opening match by 37 runs despite half-centuries from Pavan Rathnayake and Janith Liyanage, while England suffered an 87-run defeat after being bowled out for 215 in their match against Pakistan.
The result of today's encounter will be important for both sides as they seek to get their campaigns back on track and strengthen their chances of qualifying for the final.
The seven-match tri-series features Sri Lanka, England and Pakistan, with the top two teams in the league stage advancing to the final, scheduled to be played in Lahore on October 31.
