Sri Lanka Crosses 1.7 Million Tourist Arrivals

Sri Lanka’s tourism industry continues its upward trajectory, with 1,725,494 international visitors arriving in the country during the year to date, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.

In September alone, the island welcomed 158,971 tourists, reflecting sustained global interest in Sri Lanka as a travel destination.

India remains the leading source of tourists, contributing 375,292 arrivals so far this year.

Significant numbers have also arrived from the United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, and China, each surpassing the 100,000 mark.
