NEC announces Elpitiya local government elections to be held in October
The National Election Commission announced that the Elpitiya local government elections will be held on October 26.
The deadline for submitting nominations ended at noon today.
Accordingly, nominations were received from eight recognized political parties and one independent group.
However, nominations from the Communist Party of Sri Lanka and one independent group were rejected.
