Man arrested at BIA for smuggling foreign cigarettes
A man has been arrested this morning at Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake for smuggling a large quantity of foreign cigarettes.
The 30-year-old suspect, a resident of Panadura, was caught with 20,000 cigarettes that he had brought from Dubai without paying customs duty.
Authorities at the BIA Unit of the Police Narcotics Bureau are investigating the case.
