One person was attacked and killed with a sharp object in Borupana, Ratmalana.
Police say two unidentified suspects carried out the attack and fled the scene.
The attack was carried out by the two suspects at the victim's residence.
The victim was identified as a 52-year-old man.
An investigation has been launched to identify the two suspects involved in the murder.
