Decision to remove sand from silt in Negombo Lagoon
Ministry of Environment decided to expedite the possibility of removing sand from silt in the Negombo Lagoon.
The Geology and Mining Bureau was instructed yesterday (31) by the Secretary to the Ministry of Environment, Dr.Anil Jasinghe, to take immediate action and report back to him.
Attention was drawn to the removal of sand from silt in the Negombo Lagoon recently at the Gampaha Development Committee meeting
