
Notice regarding counterfeit currency during festive season
Police are warning the public to be vigilant as there is a high risk of counterfeit currency circulating with the upcoming festive season.
It is based on information received that counterfeit Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 1,000 notes were printed.
Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana requested the public to be vigilant regarding the circulation of counterfeit currency notes in connection with these incidents
