Loans provided to bus owners
The Ministry of Transport stated that steps have been taken to provide a loan of Rs. 300,000 through state banks and another Rs. 50,000 to purchase ticket vending machines for private bus owners who are facing financial difficulties due to the Coronavirus epidemic.
The token letter of credit was handed over to 27 bus owners at the Ministry of Transport yesterday (15) under the patronage of Transport Minister Gamini Lokuge.
