Permission given to import 6000 metric tons of Basmati rice from Pakistan

The Cabinet of Minister have given approval for the importation of Basmati Rice under the Pakistan-Sri Lanka Trade Agreement.

Accordingly, 6000 metric tons of Basmati rice can be imported annually under the provisions of the Trade Agreement.
