MP Namal Rajapaksa's Oxford Union Address Cancelled Following Student Protests
The organizing committee of the Oxford Union has decided to cancel Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa’s scheduled address to the Union.
The decision follows intense opposition and protests from a group of Oxford students.
MP Namal Rajapaksa was originally slated to speak at the prestigious debating society today.
This will be the second such cancellation for the MP Rajapakse.
The Cambridge Union had also previously called off a scheduled lecture by him.
