Indian arrested with Rs. 105 Mn Kush at BIA
An Indian national has been arrested at the Katunayake Airport for attempting to smuggle 10.75kg of ‘kush’ worth Rs. 105 million into Sri Lanka.
The suspect, a 43-year-old man, was arrested while attempting to pass through the Green Channel, which is for tourists who have nothing to declare.
According to reports, this is the first arrest to be made using the Green Channel’s newly installed scanning machine.
