Govt to plant 2.5 million coconut saplings in 2025
Steps will be taken to plant 2.5 million coconut saplings across the country this year, Chairman of the Coconut Cultivation Board Sunimal Jayakody said.
Speaking to the media, Sunimal Jayakody stated that the ‘World Coconut Day’ celebrations will be held on 02nd September.
He further said that the event will be held next month under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
