Don’t Buy Salt Without Labels, Warns CAA
The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has announced that it will initiate legal action against salt packets sold in the market without proper labeling, including missing details about the importer or local manufacturer and the retail price.
According to the CAA, certain importers and producers have been distributing salt products that do not comply with mandatory labeling regulations.
The Authority has urged the public to avoid purchasing or selling such improperly labeled products.
Additionally, the CAA has instructed retailers and distributors to ensure they possess a valid invoice that clearly states the supplier’s details and pricing. Failure to maintain such documentation may also result in legal consequences.
