New Year Visits Allowed For Prison Inmates
Visitors will be allowed to meet prison inmates today and tomorrow in view of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
The Department of Prisons stated that inmates will be permitted to receive parcels containing food, sweets, and hygiene items brought by their relatives.
The Department added that visitor screening procedures will be carried out at all prisons across the island in accordance with health guidelines.
